so today we went to go visit our kitty again and, lo and behold, knucklehead said that she could come home with us! evidently she's been eating solid food and using the litter box and he felt she was ready to leave mama. she is 7 weeks old today. hazel has named her isobel (though i chose the spelling).
she is the SWEETEST little thing.
she and jasper met; i think they'll need a bit of time to get used to each other.
just a little baby...
look at her fur! she has the "tortoise" pattern, but with a layer of white fur over it; it's beautiful.
hazel's pretty much delighted.
although she's a bit shy and timid now, i think it is only a matter of time before isobel is very comfortable with us.
hazel will see to that.
and, by the way, lisa, thank you so very much!

Isobel is beautiful and her name is fitting for such a beauty. Your welcome, it's not often I get to use some of this useless info I have of animals. :-) The girls look like they are in love. So you say she will be the studio cat ?? lol Can we place bets on that ? hehehe I had a cute barn kitty, until I found one of my boys had been sneaking her into the basement door she made a lovely inside/outside kitty. Have fun !!
Oh. My. Goodness. Isobel is adorable! I really don't know if anything is cuter than a kitten (and puppies of course!) And Hazel looks smitten already! :)
Are you sure she's not going to live in Hazel's room?
well, yes, she is quite precious if i do say so myself. my "office" where she is living is adjacent to the girls' room. this morning, i woke up because i heard her crying on the baby monitor and my heart melted. she snuggled up to me and purrrrred her little head off. as i am typing this, she is alternating between curling up in my hand against my chest and playing with some of my old packaging ribbon...
and, rachel, there IS door between the office and hazel and june's room, so time will tell.
So sweet - love her beautiful colors. Hope she and Jasper will be fast friends.
p.s. LOVE the peacock necklace!! I really enjoy your use of color and the way you always manage to incorporate a message.
