it's absolutely impossible to believe, but junebug has been on this earth three years as of today. she is so amazing, and deserves a much longer tribute, but i am really exhausted so i will just say that the world will never be the same now that she is here. she is remarkable in every way and completely changes the way that i see things. sadly, she was still feeling crummy today, so our celebration was subdued. hazel's still not 100% so she was home today too.
we opened gifts this morning
(thanks so much everyone!)
and then went over to the toy store in durango for june to pick out her gift from me (she's actually very hard to shop for). we really needed to get out of the house, and it seemed like a good idea, but don't they look like they're ready to have fun, but just not quite up to the task? poor things...
anyway, we are going to try again to celebrate her birthday as a family this weekend. june said she wanted to go swimming, but just with the family, "not a bunch of kids". so we'll be going to trimble hot springs on saturday if everyone's well. i leave in the morning for my trip; i'll return home on friday night!
